Resume Rebuild
How the Rebuild is made
Step 1: You tell us where you're headed
After checkout you fill in a short form, about two minutes:
- Required: your resume (upload or paste), the role you want next, and your industry.
- Optional: your top three to five wins, military service, certifications or volunteer work, the AI tools you use and how, and your current LinkedIn headline and About if you have them.
The optional parts matter more than they look. Anything you write there becomes something the rewrite is allowed to use.
Step 2: Up to six questions written for your resume
Next we read your resume and ask up to six questions about what it leaves out. They're written for your resume, not pulled from a list, and each one points to something you actually wrote. Typical gaps: the size of a team or budget, a result with no number, a certification or board seat that never made it onto the page.
Every question is optional. Skip the ones you can't answer. What you do answer is treated as your own fact, and the rewrite can use it.
Step 3: The rewrite
An AI model rewrites your resume around your results, using only what you gave us: your resume, your wins, your answers. Then a separate pass writes your LinkedIn pack from the finished resume, so the two tell the same story.
The instructions are strict. The rewrite may not invent a number, an employer, a title, a date, a tool, a certification or a skill. It may not drop a role or change your contact details. When a bullet would be stronger with a number and you didn't give one, it writes [add a number] instead of guessing, so you can fill it in or cut it.
Step 4: The checks
Before anything reaches you, the draft goes through automatic checks. A draft is rejected if:
- Any dollar figure or percentage in it doesn't appear in what you gave us.
- A dollar figure or percentage from your resume went missing.
- A role from your resume is missing, or a role has lost its dates.
- Your name or contact email is missing.
- It leans on too many [add a number] placeholders when your resume already had real numbers to use.
A rejected draft is rewritten and checked again. If it still can't pass, it doesn't go to you. It goes to me, Rich Fayette, and I fix it by hand before it's delivered. That can take up to 48 hours, and you'll be told if yours is one.
A draft that passes every check is delivered without a person reading it first. That's why you review it before you use it, and why the guarantee below exists.
Step 5: What you get
- Your resume as an editable Word file.
- A LinkedIn pack: headline, About, top skills, a full skills list, education and certifications, and a few suggested profile changes.
- A private page for 30 days, where you can:
- ask for up to 3 revisions in plain words ("make the summary shorter", "lead with the ERP rollout");
- make up to 3 tailored versions for specific job postings, each with a match score before and after and a list of what the posting asks for that your resume still doesn't show;
- write up to 10 cover letters, one per posting.
Tailored versions and cover letters follow the same rules. They can reorder and reword what's true. They can't add roles, dates or numbers.
A sample, start to finish
SAMPLE. A made-up person, written to show how the process works. Not a real customer, and not a result anyone got.
Responsible for inbound receiving at a regional distribution center.
Your resume says you ran inbound receiving. How many people were on the team, and did anything measurable change while you ran it? If you know the before and after, include them.
18 people across two shifts. Dock-to-stock went from about 3 days to under 1 after we moved carriers to scheduled delivery appointments.
Ran inbound receiving with an 18-person, two-shift team; cut dock-to-stock time from about 3 days to under 1 by moving carriers to scheduled delivery appointments.
Every number and detail in the rebuilt line came from the answer. Nothing was added.
Original: Led the rollout of a new warehouse management system.
Answer: It went across receiving, putaway and shipping. Mis-picks dropped a lot, but I don't have the figure.
Rebuilt: Led the warehouse management system rollout across receiving, putaway and shipping, cutting mis-picks by [add a number].
The rewrite didn't guess. If you can find the figure, add it. If you can't, cut the end of the line.

What happens to your resume
Your resume and answers are used to write your rebuild. If you don't keep an account, your resume, answers and files are deleted 12 months after your private page closes. Copies of what's sent to and from the AI provider are deleted after 30 days, and the provider doesn't train on them. The full details are in the Privacy Policy.
The guarantee
If the rebuild isn't useful, email support@stillsharp.ai within 14 days of delivery. I'll revise it first, and if it's still not right, you get your money back. Refunds aren't based on whether you get the job.
